residential climbing wallIf I ever achieve my dream of owning a real brick-walls-and-exposed-wood-beams-and-20-foot-ceilings loft, I’m totally going to build a climbing wall somewhere in it. What a great way to get a workout and entertain guests (as long as you have them sign the I-will-not-sue-you-if-I-fall-and-break-something waiver before trying it).

A company called Three Ball Climbing sells all the handholds you need to make your own climbing wall. They’ve got macroflanges, sendstones, roof jugs, slopers, rails, holds, and other things that you probably recognize if you’ve climbed on a wall before. You can pick and choose what you order, and it looks like you could put together a system for less than $500.
