Sure, you could just putt at a hole (or the cat, dog, etc.), but if you want to get some computer-enhanced putting advice, you may want to check out this gadget:

Its “infrared sensors detect both the speed and direction of each putt, providing precise, instant feedback by showing exactly where the midpoint of the ball has struck the bar in relation to its ‘virtual hole.’”

The bar automatically bounces the ball back to you, so you don’t even have to fish it out of a hole. You can even play a game to make things interesting:
