If you take a trip to Mexico or Hawaii, you can go on a cruise in a boat with a glass bottom, which allows you to see the tropical fish. Well, now you can see the fish (and everything else beneath you), no matter where you go.

This transparent canoe-kayak hybrid has a “transparent polymer hull that offers paddlers an underwater vista of aquatic wildlife and waterscapes unavailable in conventional boats.”

The craft seats two people, and the hull, though it looks delicate, is actually made from the same durable material found in the cockpit canopies of supersonic fighter jets. It ought to survive any dings and scrapes against rocks you might encounter.

The canoe-kayak is supposed to be easy to maneuver, since it displaces a larger amount of water than typical, which provides more surface stability. The paddlers are also seated lower to the deck to give you better balance.

Sounds like a pretty sweet aquatic ride, but it’ll cost you…
